This is it! If you’ve ever hesitated to buy a Streetlight CD or record due to concerns about where the money would be ending up, or due to our self imposed boycott, ALL THAT IS OFFICIALLY OVER! Our artist-owned label, Pentimento Music Co. is today re-releasing brand spanking new versions of all of our albums (except Keasbey Nights, more on that later this year) along with some extra goodies.
We’ve made a lot of sacrifices and borrowed a lot of money from a lot of kind people to make the recent purchase of all of our masters possible. Many of you offered donations; we don’t want your charity, brothers and sisters, we’d rather you guys support us by buying legitimate copies of the music that we make. We’ve always encouraged file sharing and ethically pirating music, and we still do! If you can’t/don’t want to buy anything to support Streetlight, we say ENJOY OUR MUSIC ANY WAY YOU CAN, whether that is via shopify’s free tier, pirated mp3’s, coming to a show, WHATEVER. But if you’d like to help the band and ensure our future is full of new tunes and shows, feel free to buy a cd or vinyl record, or one of the packages we’ve put together, and have confidence that every single penny you send our way goes towards paying down our new piles of debt, and towards future Streetlight releases, all of which will be entirely self funded and released via Pentimento!
You can buy any album on CD or vinyl, or you can save some cash and buy a collection that includes ALL THE CDS or ALL THE VINYL. THE SOMEWHERE IN THE BETWEEN TOUR 2017
Hello All! Today we are excited beyond words (spoken, not written, clearly) to announce a celebration of the fact that our album Somewhere In The Between has been out for TEN YEARS. TEN FRIGGING YEARS. There are nine year olds that aren’t even that old. Even some eight year olds! To commemorate this pseudo-milestone, we’re announcing our touring for the year will revolve around this album in particular. Today, we announce THE SOMEWHERE IN THE BETWEEN TOUR 2017. Every night on this tour will include every single song from SITB, plus a bunch of other songs from our other albums and a few b-side type cuts (since, as you know by now, we play long ass sets). Yes, EVEN BLONDE LEAD THE BLIND, for which we apologize in advance.
If you’re foolish enough to think that that’s all we have up our sleeves for 2017, then you are truly a foolish fool who thinks relatively foolishly. YOU FOOL. Expect more announcements in the coming months, of varying degrees of relevance and significance.
